shimmy in the breeze
with a greeting of “Guten Morgen!” …
In Fields of Heather
Up to my waist
in purple heather
there is independence
beauty worthy of admiration
fulfillment of a dream
amulet of protection
White heather grows
where fairies flutter
and tears have fallen
changing purple to white
pure and innocent
Grief and sadness
mingle with the ancient
heartbreak and loss
wrapped in green
like a healing balm
spread over wounds
